Credit Union of Colorado introduces more options for digital payments
December 01, 2016
Regardless of which smartphone app they use, digital banking just got easier now that the Credit Union of Colorado has expanded its Visa credit card and debit card digital payment options to include all three choices of digital payment methods – Android Pay™, Apple Pay™ and Samsung Pay™.
According to the credit union’s President/CEO, Terry Leis, “In banking, convenience is critical. In order to best serve our current members and attract new ones, we need to make sure they have access to the most convenient digital ways to use their VISA cards. That’s why we made the decision to provide all three options. Each of these ‘digital wallets’ offers our members a different set of features.”
He noted that credit unions or banks that cannot afford to stay on an even footing with other larger competitors in the arenas of mobile banking and digital payments are destined to lose ground. “Our members are quite loyal, but we don’t take them for granted. Offering them these kinds of secure and simple payment methods is essential to continue earning their loyalty.”
What the three Pay options share in common is that, when paying in stores, instead of using a physical card, you simply unlock your device, hold it near a reader, verify the amount, then authorize the purchase with a touch of your finger. The Pay products also offer convenient new ways to pay at checkout in apps or on the web.
